Today, the TY Danjuma Foundation joins all its partners who have endured risks to make life better for those in dire humanitarian situations across Nigeria and around the globe in commemorating the 2022 World Humanitarian Day (2022WHD).

As the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs notes, whenever there are events that represent a critical threat to the health, safety, security or wellbeing of a community or groups of people, the responsibility for relief during such humanitarian crises lies with humanitarian workers who aid millions of people affected by disasters and emergencies.

In honour of these wonderful people (Humanitarian Workers), August 19 is celebrated annually as World Humanitarian Day. This year’s World Humanitarian Day builds on the metaphor “it takes a village to raise a child”, emphasizing the need for the collective endeavour to grow global appreciation of humanitarian work.

The TY Danjuma Foundation, a leader in supporting humanitarian interventions, has funded over 20 interventions that provide care and help in humanitarian crises across eight states in Nigeria. Watch an impact video of our humanitarian intervention here: https://youtu.be/RdShqaE2v2E
