The TY Danjuma Foundation (TYDF) is partnering with the Teacher Aid Initiative (TAI) to commence a six-month project-based STEM training program for public school teachers in Enugu State, Nigeria. This collaboration aims to improve the quality of education and teaching methodologies within the state’s public school system.

A Cross-Section of Participants

The program started with a successful two-day hands-on training session attended by 200 teachers and key stakeholders from various educational institutions, including representatives from the Ministry of Education, Enugu State Universal Education Board, and other organisations dedicated to advancing education in Enugu State.

The training aims to equip teachers with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively teach STEM subjects using a project-based approach that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. The partnership will provide support and mentorship to participating teachers throughout the six-month initiative, with regular assessments and feedback mechanisms to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.

A Hands-On Project Exercise for the Teachers

This innovative partnership between TYDF and TAI is poised to make a significant impact on the quality of STEM education in Enugu State’s public schools. By providing teachers with the tools and support they need to succeed, this initiative is helping to enhance learning for students in Enugu State.
