JOB SUMMARY

To plan, organize, direct and implement tasks for the achievement of TYDF as assigned by Supervisor, may provide lead/ direction to volunteers and part-time or temporary employees.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compiles data from a variety of sources (e.g. project reports, budget reports, specialized reports, personnel records, etc.) for the purpose of achieving assigned objectives.
  • Assists Supervisor in coordinating a variety of projects, functions and/or program components for the purpose of achieving organizational goals and objectives.
  • Maintains a wide variety of manual and electronic documents for the purpose of providing up-to-date information in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitors a variety of activities on behalf of Supervisor for the purpose of achieving goals and meeting organizational objectives.
  • Participates in a variety of meetings, workshops, and/or trainings for the purpose of providing or receiving information, recording minutes, and supporting the needs of the attendees and Supervisor.
  • Prepares a variety of documents (e.g. correspondence, agendas, minutes, event programs, bulletins, reports, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information and/or creating documentation in compliance SOPs.
  • Processes documents and materials in compliance with SOPs.
  • Represents Supervisor in his/her absence in order to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Researches a variety of topics for the purpose of providing information and/or recommendations and/or addressing a variety of organizational requirements.
  • Responds to a variety of inquiries from a variety of internal and external parties for the purpose of providing information or direction and/or facilitating communication among parties.

Provides administrative and project support to Supervisor in achieving goals and objectives aimed at actualizing the mandates of TYDF.

  • Quality of Contribution Made in Completing Projects
  • Quality, timeliness and adequacy of support provided to Supervisor
  • Turnaround time in responding to assigned tasks and responsibilities
  • Number of complaints arising from handling assigned tasks and responsibilities
  • Soundness of judgement and initiative in resolving difficulties arising from assigned tasks and responsibilities  

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Academic and Professional:                  

Degree qualified in Education, Humanities or Sciences.

Master’s degree would be an added advantage.

Professional membership of relevant bodies in the not-for-profit organisation and management, as well as training in the areas of education, programme monitoring and evaluation is preferred.

 

Experience:                                                                     

At least two years work experience in a similar role in a reputable not-for-profit organisation. Grant-making experience would be strongly preferred.
